Today was my favorite day of the week…Craft day and Nikki’s house!
I have a few projects that I am excited to show you but for now I will show you my napkin stamping.
I was able to pick up 6 napkins at a garage sale for $2.00 so there is essentially no cost. I also picked up a bunch of stamps for $5.00 (I think 13 in all!)
I started out with a white napkin
I got all my supplies together:
a foam brush, my stamps and the paint of choice (Plum)
Using the foam brush I put a thin later of paint on my first stamp and pressed it firmly onto my napkin
I love the way it came out. It is slightly antiqued looking
I then did the same process on a small bird stamp that I fell in love with
I’m not sure what I am going to do with it yet but I think its adorable!
Stay tuned… good things to come this week
Wow they printed so well, I like the color you chose too
They did.. It was a good practice piece. I think I will do the four a bit better so we can use them for dinner. I love that color too!
How cool. What a great way to make a gift that people would use for years at their holiday tables and yet not break the bank of the person giving them – plus there’s the added sentimental value of having had napkins made especially FOR you by someone!
Looks like I know what to make someone for Christmas!
