Apple Nacho’s

On Saturday I got together with Nikki, Amber and Nicole for a girl’s night in. We haven’t had one in quite a while and I think we were all in need of some girl time. Normally when we get together we put a movie on and try to watch it but end up talking through the whole thing. This time Nikki put Mean Girls on for background noise and we ended up staring blankly at the screen for the entire movie. (It is one of my favorites.) 5 minutes after I got there Nikki and Nicole stated that we were ordering pizza which I was more than happy with. Once Amber got there we ordered and scarfed it down as soon as it came. We sat around talking about the usual until we decided that dessert was in order.

After searching our dessert pins on Pinterest we settled on Apple Nachos.

We took red apples (the next try we agreed that we are going to use Granny Smith as they are crunchier and will hold the ingredients better) and sliced them thin but still thick enough to be used as a “nacho”

We then took peanut butter and microwaved it for I believe 20 seconds…just long enough so that it will pour over the apples easily. Nikki had some caramel that she previously made so of course we paired that with the peanut butter.

Once that was poured in it was time to cut up the Pecans. (Almonds would also be really tasty!)

We added chocolate chips on top and mixed it all together easily as to not break the apples.

This is what it looked like just before we devoured it…. it was Delish!

J joined us on our girls night because it was easier for me to watch him. He was really good the entire night and got carried around by all the ladies (Except Nicole, not because she doesn’t like babies just because she isn’t comfortable holding them)

Here is J looking oh so cute with Amber

and about 15 minutes later here is J puking on Amber 🙂

The entire time we were hanging out we were followed around by one of the cutest puppies on earth , after my two of course 😉

All in all it was a wonderful night and I can’t wait to do it again. Thank you ladies for another night filled with laughs.
