I recently started writing more posts on my blog because I just can’t seem to find the time to do crafts at the minute. I have ton’s of orders for my Birthday Boards on Etsy and my little man is now climbing on everything. If I take my eyes off him for more than a minute he is on top of the couch jumping up and down. I have always struggled with topics to write about but decided to just look inside myself and see what I wanted to share.
You all seem to be responding because I have quite a bit more followers in the last week and a good amount of comments, so I thank you!
I recently had lunch with my family in Nyack. My mentor/friend Karen brought up my writing and my style. She said that I write how I speak which is completely spot on. I don’t know any other way of writing. I think about it in my head and literally type it onto the screen. She brought up the fact that my last few posts have been very interesting and that I should try submitting them to a magazine (particularly the “Mom why are they kissing” post.) We talked for a bit about what type of magazine I should send it to and about rejection. Personally I don’t mind if someone tells me no. No doesn’t scare me, rejection doesn’t scare me. If you don’t take a chance in life then what are you living for?
I decided to send my article to Parent’s magazine. I have been reading it for years and I love the articles they have. I found the information that I needed online and went for it. I got a confirmation email that they received it but I haven’t heard back yet. I am hoping that I at least get a yes or no.
I love sharing my stories with you. I need to figure out more stories/experiences to talk about so if you have anything you want me to discuss please let me know!
I do have a few things coming up in the future:
Tips for shopping/throwing a garage sale
and stay tuned on Friday for my Coconut Popsicles!
Welcome to all my new followers and thank you to all who have been there from the beginning. It is always a pleasure to hear from you and to see my stats each day. I look forward to sharing my many adventures with you.
I’m going to leave you with this picture of my daughter. She has amazing eyes and this picture captured them beautifully.
